CTR/Hayco is a multinational manufacturing company looking for an Senior Engineer Project Engineering to join our Engineering team in Portugal.

Job Purpose

The Senior Engineer Project Engineering coordinates RFQs and NPI projects with various departments for achieving the targets for schedule, cost and quality for the projects and develop, optimize, and sustain manufacturing processes that improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Responsabilities

  • Managing ongoing projects:
    •  Work with the project teams to create the project CPS that aim to fulfill the project targets.
    • Ensure that it is communicated clearly to all relevant parties and keep that updated to reflect the latest plan of the project.
    • Monitor progress and performance against the project plan. Work with the team to trouble-shoot issues on timely manner.
    • Escalate issues to the supervisor or upper management for foreseeable risks that the team need extra support or direction.
    • Prepare project reports and coordinate project gate review meetings to present status of the projects to upper management.
  • Quotation of new products:
    • Develop and maintain cost estimates for projects, products, and processes.
    • Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
    • Prepare cost models and forecasts to support budgeting and financial ROI.
    • Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate cost-effective solutions.
  • Coordinate, collaborate and follow up work with various departments to optimize cost structures and complete RFQs on time and accurately.                                                                                                                                                                                                 

Skills/Requirements

  • Degree on Industrial Engineering
  • Experience on manufacrturing environment managing quotations and new products lauch.                                             
  • Principles of cost engineering and cost control in manufacturing environments
  • Process engineering fundamentals, including workflow optimization and efficiency analysis.
  • Material, labor, and overhead cost structures related to production processes.
  • Methods for estimating, budgeting, and forecasting costs for process improvements and ROI analysis.
  • Risk analysis and cost-benefit evaluation for process changes or new projects.
  • English speaking and writing fluency
