Associate degree, diploma or its equivalent in Business Management, International Trade 

Requirements

6+ years working as Shipping function in fast moving consumer goods manufacturing factory environment of which 2 years in a supervisory role.

 

 

 

Knowledge:
  • Familiar with manufacturing and assembly of plastic products
  • Local custom regulations, trade compliance and international trade
  • Quality management system
  • Problem solving tools and techniques
  • Computer literacy

1. Perform a range of activities to facilitate the timely and accurate import, export, and shipment of materials, equipment, products, packages, and documents.

  

2. These activities include preparing and maintaining shipping records; preparing bills of lading; computing duties, tariffs, price conversions, weights, and volumes.

  

3. Prepare customs declarations and other required documents that describe the goods and materials being shipped and comply with all import/export regulations.

  

4. Identify and obtain the permits, licenses, and certificates that are required for customs clearance.

  

5. Communicate with external bodies including customs authorities or shipping agents to verify customs requirements and negotiate shipping costs and time.
