Job Responsibilities

Set up tactics in material cost control and efficiency by standardizing RFQ/RFI and e-Procurement format, cost analysis process to meet company cost budget, effectively managing tough and complex contract terms and conditions, and commercial terms and cost negotiation.  Conduct sourcing and supplier selection by  (a) exploring supplier base, developing and maintaining an extensive supplier network, upkeeping market intelligence and best practices, (b) driving internal teams to execute the supplier selection and qualification process in adherence to the preset criteria and defined schedule for regular reporting to Engineering and SQE teams, (c) developing, establishing and upkeeping supplier knowledge base to enable sourcing by non-procurement team through company approved supplier list, (d) driving cost reduction through VA/VE (value analysis and value engineering).  Deploy effective supplier performance management to ensure suppliers meeting company requirements in delivery, cost, service, quality, etc.  Offer guidance and support to the "make vs buy" decision by defining the capabilities for each supplier and maintaining database with information on materials, commodity type, cost, strength and limitation.  Ensure full compliance with business ethics and company code of conduct.
