CTR/Hayco is a multinational manufacturing company looking for a Manager Tax/Accounting to join our Finance team in Portugal.

Job Purpose

The Manager Tax/Accouting is responsible for overseeing all corporate tax matters, ensuring full compliance with local and international tax regulations, and optimizing the company’s tax strategy. This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, and external advisors to manage tax reporting, planning, and risk mitigation.                                  

Job Responsabilities

• Lead the preparation and review of all tax filings, including corporate income tax, VAT, and other statutory obligations.
• Develop and implement tax strategies that ensure compliance while supporting business objectives.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the company.Manage tax audits, liaise with tax authorities, and coordinate external consultants when required.
• Oversee transfer pricing documentation and ensure alignment with global policies.
• Support financial reporting processes, including tax provisions and deferred tax calculations.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on tax‑related matters and business decisions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency in tax compliance.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CTA) is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax, VAT, and international tax principles.
• Experience in a multinational or industrial/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, handle multiple deadlines, and collaborate across teams.
