Engineer I Industrial Engineering

CTR/Hayco is a multinational manufacturing company looking for an Engineer I Industrial Engineering  to join our Engineering team in Portugal.

Job Purpose

Provide industrial engineering support through the application of LEAN industrial engineering principle to prevent waste and inefficiency in production processes.

Responsabilities

• Assist to perform a range of industrial engineering activities including the development and maintenance of labor routings and bills of materials.
• Perform standard technical calculations and prepare standard operation sheets.
• Monitor production processes and work methods.  
• Collect, compile and analyze production data to identify opportunities to improve production processes.
• Develop plant layout, material flow, sequence of operations, method improvements, labor and cost estimates, cost improvements, safety awareness.  
• Support new product implementation.
• Participate in and support LEAN manufacturing initiatives.  
• Support continuous improvement activities.

Requirements/Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Recent graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems and LEAN methodologies.
• Good analytical skills and ability to interpret production data and performance indicators.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Power BI, statistical analysis tools and CAD software is an advantage.
• Structured approach to problem-solving, good organizational skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Good command of English.
